Valentine's Day Card

The new release from RAM stamps is so cute, I couldn't help but use nearly all the images on my card for today!



I printed my images on Copic Perfect Coloring Paper, and colored them using alcohol markers.
For the background there are 3 main elements - The scalloped border, the cloud background and the inked backdrop. I cut these elements using Cricut Kraft Board which is super thick and lovely to work with. I cut the scalloped border and cloud background using my Cricut Maker. The designs I used are available on Cricut Design Space. For the cloud background I did use the slice option multiple times so I could get more clouds into the design. For the ink blended background, I used the following Distress Oxide Inks-
Wild Honey 
Spiced Marmalade
Carved Pumpkin 
Tattered Rose
Worn Lipstick 
Candied Apple
I used blender brushes to blend my inks. I also added white paint splatters as well ink splatters. Finally I adhered all my elements using liquid glue. The critters I adhered with foam tape for extra dimension.

I love using different background shapes for my cards and I have two cards to share with you featuring stamps from Hello Bluebird Stamps and My Favorite Things. Using Flowers as Your Focal Image

Hello There 😊 I hope you are having a great day. Today's card features the Magnolia Stamp from Mudra Craft. Here are some close up images of the floral image. I used watercolors to paint my image. My color theme was the colors of the Indian Flag. Although it isn't very clearly visible, I stamped the corners of the blue background piece using the same stamp,but with white ink. I also added a splatter of white and silver paint,to add some extra sparkle. I didn't want the receiver of the card to be distracted by a very loud background ,which is why I kept it simple and ,almost tone on tone.  That's it for today's card. Coloring on Colored Cardstock

Hello There  I hope you are having a great day🤗 Today's cards feature coloring on colored cardstock. For my examples I used kraft cardstock. My first tip for coloring on colored cardstock is to make sure to use a white pencil to add highlights to make your colors pop.  My second tip would be to add layers of colors, this makes the colors more vibrant. My third tip is to add extra details, I added sparkle using a silver gel pen. My third and final tip would be ,if you want your colors to really be bright and not discolored by the non white cardstock ,first color the area with a layer of white. If you are really interested in coloring with pencils ,please don't be daunted by all the super expensive coloring supplies.
