Creating your own pet animals out of paper!

I hope you are having a good day!😇
Today's project is yet another different project from what I usually undertake, but I enjoy pushing my crafty boundaries once in a while.😂
Here are some of the pictures of the project






To start I used newspaper to make my base. I made two balls one larger than the other and used it for the head and body of my little penguin. I stuck the head and body together using masking tape. I then tore some strips of newspaper and using a mixture of glue and water I began adding layers to my body. I added the layers in such a way so that the body looked more fuller and all the gaps and uneven surface could be covered up. I also made the beak in the same manner. Then I let it dry for a day or two. To make it a bit more fun, I used different patterns of decoupage paper to decoupage my little penguin. And that's it !

I love using different background shapes for my cards and I have two cards to share with you featuring stamps from Hello Bluebird Stamps and My Favorite Things. Using Flowers as Your Focal Image

Hello There 😊 I hope you are having a great day. Today's card features the Magnolia Stamp from Mudra Craft. Here are some close up images of the floral image. I used watercolors to paint my image. My color theme was the colors of the Indian Flag. Although it isn't very clearly visible, I stamped the corners of the blue background piece using the same stamp,but with white ink. I also added a splatter of white and silver paint,to add some extra sparkle. I didn't want the receiver of the card to be distracted by a very loud background ,which is why I kept it simple and ,almost tone on tone.  That's it for today's card. Coloring on Colored Cardstock

Hello There  I hope you are having a great day🤗 Today's cards feature coloring on colored cardstock. For my examples I used kraft cardstock. My first tip for coloring on colored cardstock is to make sure to use a white pencil to add highlights to make your colors pop.  My second tip would be to add layers of colors, this makes the colors more vibrant. My third tip is to add extra details, I added sparkle using a silver gel pen. My third and final tip would be ,if you want your colors to really be bright and not discolored by the non white cardstock ,first color the area with a layer of white. If you are really interested in coloring with pencils ,please don't be daunted by all the super expensive coloring supplies.
